He played a negative role in Bala’s Nandha. He gained critical praises with this negative role. He also became director and directed Thayumanvan in 2003. But the film did not do well at the box office, it was a completely unnoticed movie.
He made his comeback with movie Paruthiveeran in 2007. The movie was directed by Ameer Sultan. In this movie he played the character uncle of Karthi.
